The short version: our apps run entirely on your machine, collect nothing, and phone home to no one. This page spells that out properly.

Raven (macOS)

Raven is a Wi-Fi analyzer that does all of its work locally, on your Mac.

• No data collection. Raven does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising.
• Nothing leaves your Mac. Wi-Fi scan results, walk surveys, heatmaps, and measurement history exist only in the app while it runs. Surveys and PDF reports are saved only where you choose to save them, and are shared only if you share them.
• About the Location Services prompt. macOS requires Location Services permission before it will let any app read Wi-Fi scan results, because nearby network names can hint at where you are. That is the only reason Raven asks. Raven never requests, reads, stores, or transmits your geographic location.

Kitsune

Kitsune, our LAN scanner and analyzer, follows the same principle: it examines your own local network, on your own machine, and reports only to you. It collects no personal information and sends nothing to us or anyone else.

This website

• No accounts, no cookies, no analytics. roaringman.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.
• Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service. We don't use those logs to identify visitors.
• Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers when the page loads, subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Email. This site has no forms and collects no addresses — the contact links simply open your own email app. If you write to us, we use your address only to reply and to tell you about the launch you asked about — never to spam, and never shared.

Changes

If our apps ever change how they handle data — for example, an optional crash-reporting or update-check feature — we'll update this page first and note it in the app's release notes. The date at the top always reflects the latest revision.
